Important Information
  • GroupDrive Server must be installed under an account that has full Administrative privledges to the PC on which GroupDrive is being installed.
  • If you plan to use GroupDrive in conjunction with User Accounts on an existing NT Domain or Active Directory, please review the associated configuration information found on our website.
  • To uninstall GroupDrive Server, select add/remove programs from the control panel and select GroupDrive Server. You can also select the uninstall icon in the GroupDrive Server Program Folder to uninstall GroupDrive Server.

  • Fixed: NTFS permissions were not being honored when using Active Directory authentication.
  • Fixed: A/D Authentication issue which could prevent user and group configuration settings from being retained during an upgrade from 4.x
  • Changed: When using A/D authentication, GroupDrive will now attempt to verify the user's password using username@domain if the simple username failed.
  • Fixed: LDAP issue which prevented NT Security Groups from showing up after an upgrade from GroupDrive 4.x if LDAP was talking to an Active Directory.
  • Fixed: Database Migration issue which failed to update the ODBC datasource information in GroupDrive to point to the new datasource after the migration was complete.
Minimum System Requirements
The following Windows platforms are currently supported. Note: All Service Packs and hot-fixes should be applied to the computer prior to installing the GroupDrive Server:
  • Pentium class processor or better, 2GHz or faster CPU.
  • Minimum of 512MB RAM, 1GB RAM is recommended
  • Minimum 50MB of disk space for the GroupDrive program and 100MB for each Server configuration, most of which will be used for storing user data files.
  • Windows Server 2008 (32 or 64-bit edition)
  • Windows Server 2003 (32 or 64-bit edition)
  • Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise (32 or 64-bit edition)
  • Windows 2000 Server
  • Windows XP, NT4, Windows 95, 98 and ME are not supported.
Known Issues
  • Lotus Domino LDAP Servers are not supported as an LDAP authentication server with GroupDrive
