Important Information
  • GroupDrive Server must be installed under an account that has full Administrative privledges to the PC on which GroupDrive is being installed.
  • If you plan to use GroupDrive in conjunction with User Accounts on an existing NT Domain or Active Directory, please review the associated configuration information found on our website.
  • To uninstall GroupDrive Server, select add/remove programs from the control panel and select GroupDrive Server. You can also select the uninstall icon in the GroupDrive Server Program Folder to uninstall GroupDrive Server.

  • Added: Full support for clustering of multiple GroupDrive Servers through a new Server Clustering Wizard.
  • Added: New SSL engine based on Microsoft's Crypto API now supports SSL v3.0, TLS v1.0 and TLS 1.1 when running on Windows Server 2008.
  • Added: Ability to Copy/Paste registration codes into activation dialog.
  • Added: Full support for Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Express. SQL Server is now the official supported database engine for both the 32 and 64 bit platforms.
  • Added: Scalability enhancements to support multi-thousand user Active Directory user authentication systems.
  • Fixed: NT Home Directories are now honored even if they are not fully qualified. If they are partial/relative directories, they'll be appended to the end of the servers data directory.

  • Fixed: An activation licensing issue for 2010 regcodes.
  • Fixed: Problem which prevented the browser from launching properly when the user would select About South River Technologies, Pricing Information, or Support from the Help menu in the Administration utility.
  • Fixed: Performance issues with the Administration application which failed to display user information promptly when running against large (> 10,000 users) Active Directories.

Minimum System Requirements
The following Windows platforms are currently supported. Note: All Service Packs and hot-fixes should be applied to the computer prior to installing the GroupDrive Server:
  • Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2003 (32 or 64-bit edition)
  • Pentium class processor or better, 2GHz or faster CPU
  • Minimum of 2GB RAM, 4GB RAM is recommended
  • Minimum 100MB of disk space for the GroupDrive program and 100MB for each Server configuration, most of which will be used for storing user data files
  • SVGA (800x600) resolution is required to run the Administration program
Known Issues
  • Lotus Domino LDAP Servers are not supported as an LDAP authentication server with GroupDrive
